An integrated platform for mode-of-action analysis and repositioning of natural medicines
Natural medicines (i.e., herbal medicines, traditional formulas) are useful for treatment of multifactorial and chronic diseases. KampoDB provides various useful scientific resources on Kampo medicines, crude drugs (herbal medicines), constituent compounds, known target proteins of these constituent compounds, and potential target proteins of these constituent compounds predicted on the basis of large-scale omics data (e.g., genome, proteome, metabolome, interactome). KampoDB helps to understand the mode-of-action of natural medicines in terms of biological pathways and molecular functions of target proteins, which can lead to new indications for a wide range of diseases.
Hierarchical relationship between Kampo medicines, crude drugs, constituent compounds, and target proteins
Enrichment analysis of target proteins in terms of biological pathways and molecular functions in KEGG and GO
Prediction of new target proteins of constituent compounds by performing docking simulation and machine learning
